I am so used to being able to tap and zoom in on pictures, that I actually touched my finger to a picture on a paper Christmas card and tried to expand it with my thumb and forefinger before I realized what I was doing.

During a recent rainstorm, I saw a guy in a parking lot, holding an unopened umbrella over his head. Huh? Have we become so lazy that opening an umbrella is even too much effort?

I find it satisfying when I make one dinner for one family member, another for another family member, then have no idea what to feed myself, so I settle on a bowl of sugary cereal, followed by a bowl of salty pretzels.

For a bit of seriousness about the weather, I am sickened by the devastation out in California right now. Sending lots of love and support to all my friends and family affected. Luckily, my daughter is still home, and it does not seem to be reaching SoCal.
