It's cold, dark and rainy here in the Northeast - again. I'm starting to wonder if we're in a pissing contest with Seattle. I don't know if this week's Deep Thoughts Thursday with The Boozy Weathergirl make much sense, but I also don't really care.

Do you ever consider how much better life would be if our bodies didn't need to use the bathroom? As someone who does not like "doing her business" outside the home, I could be so much more productive if I didn't have to rush home while stuff is touching cotton!

I have a bad habit of bringing my cell phone into the bathroom with me. I catch up on a lot of texts in there. However, I need to be careful, because sometimes, a textee CALLS you back...(thank GOD it's not usually a FaceTime!)

My car keeps telling me that I should "Consider Taking a Break." And I want to reply, "Listen, bitch, if you had two jobs, a forty-five-minute commute each way, a kid, a husband and a multitude of other needy people in your life, PLUS FOMO, you'd get why I am so tired all the time!!"

This reminded me that I used to stare at my mother when she was my age and wonder why she was always so exhausted. Mom, I can assure you, I TOTALLY get it now.

My daughter came to the grocery store with me. She told me that she got to add one item of her choice to the cart each time I ran into someone and talked with them. Two hours of my life are now gone, and I have no money left in my bank account.

I was recently going through some old photos from high school and college, thinking about what great times were had. Then my daughter came up behind me, and all I could think was, "please don't ask me to explain what's happening in this picture!"

There was a recent article published with the 31 most difficult words to pronounce in the English language. One of them was "brewery." While this can be a little rocks-in-your-mouth sounding, I'd venture to say that the more time you spend in one, the more eloquently you'll be able to say it. At least you'll think so anyway.

Have you ever gotten pre-annoyed with someone? Like, you know even thinking about this person pisses you off, but you can't escape the encounter?

As we move along in the college process, it amazes me to realize the stupidity of America. For only in this country will we freely allow young adults to pile up $100K+ in educational debt, but we fight them to acquire a $20K business loan.

My mastery of the mundane amazes even me. Thanks for sticking with me, even when nothing of substance happens in my life. My friend texted and invited me to happy hour tonight. That made me happy. Here are some ideas to make your next happy hour a happy one as well.
